Find accounts

Find manufacturers by sector, plant count, and export market

A manufacturer is not a local business and not a startup. It has sites, shifts, and a procurement process, and whoever picks your tool rarely signs for it.

try

The useful shape of a manufacturer is the site, not the headquarters. One company can run four plants on three continents with different systems in each, so a list keyed on the legal entity hides the accounts you actually sell to. Plant count and site locations belong in their own columns.

People Data Labs supplies the company record and its headcount. Serper's maps search finds the plants and sites that trade under a local address, and a research column reads the sites a company names on its own pages. TheirStack reads hiring, which on a plant floor is the clearest sign a line is being expanded or a system replaced. Blitz API and LeadMagic handle the contacts.

Example searches

Ask for it the way you'd say it

Each example is a request in plain words, with what it returns underneath.

  • Sector and site count

food and beverage manufacturers in the midwest running more than two plants

Plant count is not a search filter, so this returns companies. Sites from maps listings and the company's own pages link back as rows, so the count you get is a floor.

  • Hiring on the plant floor

manufacturers posting maintenance or controls engineer roles this quarter

A posting for a controls role usually means a line is changing, which beats any firmographic sitting on the company page.

  • Operations, not the switchboard

find the plant manager and the operations vp at each of these manufacturers

Both resolve onto the same company, which lets a site-level opener and a corporate one run without colliding.

Plays

Three motions you can run this week

Each one is a chain of OXYGEN primitives: the same hosted objects your workspace already has, composed.

  • Site-level account map

Every plant is a row and every company a record, so territories stop overlapping.

    1. 1Source companies, then add each plant from maps listings as a row linked to its parent company.
    2. 2Assign by site location and keep the corporate contact on the record above.
    oxygen tables relate
  • Hiring as the line-change signal

Outreach arrives while the engineering decision is still open.

    1. 1Bind a posting search for the roles that appear when a line or system changes.
    2. 2Send the accounts whose postings name equipment you support to a table of their own, and enroll it.
    oxygen feeds bind
  • Two openers, one account

The plant manager and the operations VP hear different, non-colliding messages.

    1. 1Keep both contacts on the record with the site each one belongs to.
    2. 2Enroll both in one sequence that branches on role, and turn on company reply pause so a reply from either holds the other.
    oxygen sequences enroll

Who you can reach

Roles you can find at manufacturers and industrial firms

Reachability is per channel: a role marked for mobile is one the phone waterfall usually resolves, not a guarantee for every record.

Filters you can search on

  • Sector and product category
  • Employee band per company
  • Number of plants or facilities
  • Certifications named on the site
  • Export markets and regions served
  • Open plant and engineering roles
  • Systems named in job postings
  • Parent group or independent

Mid-market and larger manufacturers resolve well on company data, sites, and named leadership. Small job shops publish little beyond an address and a switchboard, and family-owned firms often have almost no professional network presence. Expect a phone lane to carry that end of the market.

Use managed credits where available, or connect a supported provider key on an eligible paid plan. Your provider bills its calls; OXYGEN adds a per-call platform fee. Signed-in CRM connections such as HubSpot have no per-call fee. Connected sending accounts reserve monthly credits. See pricing and supported integrations.

Limits

Where this stops

  • Plant counts are rarely published in a structured way. What you get is the sites a company mentions on its own pages plus facilities carrying a local listing, so read the count as a floor rather than a total.

FAQ

Questions people ask first

Can I source by plant instead of by company?
Yes, and it is usually the right unit. Facilities become rows linked to one parent record, so a territory rep works a site while the account itself stays whole.
Which hiring signals matter here?
Maintenance, controls, quality, and industrial engineering roles. They appear when a line changes or a system is replaced, which is while a new tool can still get into the plan.
How do I find the right person on the floor?
Resolve by function rather than by title text. Plant leadership titles vary by company and by country, so seniority plus function gets you further than an exact string match.
Is certification data reliable?
Only as published. Firms list the certifications they hold on their own pages and rarely remove expired ones, so treat the column as a claim worth confirming before it shapes an offer.
What about manufacturers with no web presence?
They appear from listings with an address and a phone number and little else. Keep them in a phone lane instead of dropping them, because that segment is frequently underworked.
Can I keep this list synced to my CRM?
Yes, if your CRM is one OXYGEN syncs with. Promote qualified companies onto records, keep their sites as linked rows, then run the sync. Provider ids and each field's history are kept, so you can see what wrote what.
