Find vet clinics

Find veterinary clinics by location, size, and ownership

Veterinary care has been consolidating for a decade. Whether a clinic is still independent decides who can sign, and it is rarely visible from the name on the door.

try

Ownership is the first question in this market, not the last. An independent hospital buys software in one conversation with the owning vet. A clinic acquired by a national group kept its sign, its phone number, and its website. It cannot buy anything without a regional office you were never talking to.

That fact is partly recoverable without guessing. A clinic whose site sits on a parent domain, whose parent company a research column finds, or whose staff list names a regional manager is almost never independent. Each of those is a column, and the row ends up with an ownership verdict you can inspect rather than a hunch.

The rest is standard local sourcing. Listings come from Serper's maps search, and a research column names the group behind a clinic where one exists. Blitz API heads the email column for contacts with a LinkedIn profile, and ClearoutPhone grades the number so the front desk is reachable.

Example searches

Ask for it the way you'd say it

Each example is a request in plain words, with what it returns underneath.

  • Independent, not group-owned

veterinary hospitals in the carolinas that are not part of a national chain

Ownership is written as its own verdict with the evidence behind it, and clinics that stay ambiguous are marked ambiguous.

  • Size by vets on staff

clinics with at least three veterinarians and their own surgical suite

Staff counts come from the team page and are stored with the date they were read, since vet rosters turn over quickly.

  • Emergency and specialty

animal hospitals offering after-hours emergency care rather than daytime clinics only

Service lines land in their own column, which separates a referral hospital from a neighborhood practice before anyone writes copy.

Plays

Three motions you can run this week

Each one is a chain of OXYGEN primitives: the same hosted objects your workspace already has, composed.

  • Independent-only clinic list

A list where every clinic can actually sign without a regional office.

    1. 1Sweep the state, then add ownership evidence columns and a single verdict column.
    2. 2Promote the independents, copy them into a table of their own, and enroll that table.
    oxygen search run
  • Group-level conversation instead

Corporate-owned clinics are consolidated into one conversation with the operator.

    1. 1Collapse group-owned clinics onto the parent company and keep the sites as linked rows.
    2. 2Resolve a regional or operations contact once, not once per clinic.
    oxygen tables link
  • Front desk that answers

Clinics with no named contact still have a route that reaches a decision maker.

    1. 1Check each clinic number with ClearoutPhone's phone validation and keep only the lines that come back valid.
    2. 2Call the practice manager during quieter clinic hours and log the call on the clinic's record, so the next rep sees the outcome.

Who you can reach

Roles you can find at veterinary clinics and animal hospitals

Reachability is per channel: a role marked for mobile is one the phone waterfall usually resolves, not a guarantee for every record.

Filters you can search on

  • Independent or corporate group owned
  • Number of veterinarians on staff
  • Emergency, specialty, or general practice
  • City, metro, or state
  • Species treated
  • Shared parent domain with a group
  • Review count and rating band

Clinics themselves resolve almost everywhere: address, phone, hours, services, and reviews. Ownership is the fragile part, because acquisitions are often unannounced and the website changes months later, so expect a share of rows to come back ambiguous. Named contacts resolve well at independents, where the owning vet is public, and poorly at group-owned sites that route everything through a regional inbox.

Data sources

Data sources and CRM connections

  • Serper

Clinic listings from Google Maps with address, phone, category, rating, and review volume across a state.

  • People Data Labs

A company record for a veterinary group once its domain is known, with headcount and industry, run when you pick it by name.

  • Blitz API

Heads the work-email column for owners and managers with a LinkedIn profile. Contacts found only by name and clinic domain start with other lanes.

  • ClearoutPhone

Validates the clinic number and reports line type before anything reaches a call list.

Use managed credits where available, or connect a supported provider key on an eligible paid plan. Your provider bills its calls; OXYGEN adds a per-call platform fee. Signed-in CRM connections such as HubSpot have no per-call fee. Connected sending accounts reserve monthly credits. See pricing and supported integrations.

Limits

Where this stops

  • Acquisitions are quiet. A clinic bought last quarter may keep its independent branding for a year. Treat an ownership verdict as evidence, not certainty, and confirm it on the first call.

FAQ

Questions people ask first

How can you tell if a clinic is corporate-owned?
By shared infrastructure rather than branding. Three signs give it away: a parent domain the clinic's site sits on, a parent company a research column finds, and a regional manager on the staff list. Each is a column, and together they produce a verdict you can audit.
What if the ownership check is inconclusive?
The row is marked ambiguous and stays in the table. That is more useful than a forced answer, because a rep can settle it in ten seconds on a call that was going to happen anyway.
Can I reach the owning vet directly?
At independents, usually. The owner is named on the site, and a work email can resolve when the clinic has its own domain. At group sites the useful contact is the hospital manager instead.
Is species mix worth filtering on?
If your product is species-specific, yes, and it comes off the services page cleanly. Equine and large-animal practices behave very differently from small-animal clinics on both price and scheduling.
How often should I re-run the ownership column?
Quarterly is enough for most territories. A Workflow can re-run the ownership columns on that schedule, evidence and verdict together, with a credit cap on each run. After each run, a changed cell shows the old and new verdict in its recent history. A sale then reads as a change instead of vanishing. To keep every quarter's verdict, copy the rows into a dated table first.
Can I start this without paying anything?
Yes. A new workspace comes with 250 credits, no card and no clock, and tables, columns, and sequence drafts stay free. Credits go on sourcing, enrichment and AI steps, and you can preview a run's cost on your own rows before it starts.
